It's always darkest before the dawn

Last week I ended another concert project with my student singers at Bromma Folkhögskola. The theme was music and lyrics for heart and soul.

Last week I had the honor singing at a funural of a dear friend...
Performing students from the left: Niklas Aronsson, Fredrik Jangdin, Serny Lilja, Gabriel Stoltz, Elias Lang, Lukas Berkemar, Emil Andersson, Anton Gävert, Julia Sigblad, Katarina Näslund, Daniel Axelsson, Natalie Holm, Isabella Amundsen, Lisa Gotting, Ivan Kinell and Lovisa Wahlström.

We did two concerts of the project, the first one at Bromma Folkhögskola and the last one at Grindtorpskyrkan, Täby. The given headline was; "It's always darkest before the dawn", and from this theme the students chose one song and one poem each to perform. I am very proud and impressed by their devotion to the task and how they created a strong moment together of total focus on the soulful lyrics and on the connection with the audience!

In addition to programme I sang, during the concert at Grindtorpskyrkan, a song by Ingvar Lidholm; Rosettas visa. A beautiful song about sorrow and loneliness. This was a tribute to Ingvar, who passed away this year.

From the left: Göran Nygren (teacher), Serny Lilja, Niklas Aronsson, Elias Lang, Ivan Kinell, Isabella Amundsen, Daniel Axelsson, Lovisa Wahlström, Lisa Gotting, Katarina Näslund and Hannah Holgersson.
